Whole wheat flour – 1 Cup
Powdered Sugar – 1 Cup (after powdering)
Baking soda – 1 teaspoon
Red wine – 1 cup
Raisins – a handful
Cocoa powder – 4 teaspoons
Butterscotch – 2 teaspoons
Butter – 3/4 cup
A pinch of Salt
Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 200°C.
Sieve the flour, powdered sugar, baking soda, coco powder into a deep mixing bowl and mix well.
Melt the butter to the room temperature and add it to the flour mixture and mix it until it comes to a coarse texture.
Add the essence and then the wine to the dough and knead well. The dough must be pliable enough.
Dough will look like this after kneading.
Take the dough and roll into a sheet using a rolling pin to cut it into desired shapes.
Grease and line a tray with aluminium foil to arrange your cookies.
Bake for 20 minutes at 200°C in a preheated oven.
Post baking remove the trays from the oven and leave it to cool.
Your crispy cookies are ready to relish with any hot drink or just as a snack.
